Fox School of Business at Temple University is looking for a few GREAT people! This FALL 2008, Fox is building a volunteer corps of students to help faculty, students and visitors have a great experience at our new 80-million-dollar FOX ALTER HALL facility at Temple University. FOX ALTER HALL CONCIERGE Volunteers are trained on cutting-edge classroom technology and facility features in Speakman classrooms, the model for new ALTER HALL! Our goal is to provide friendly, helpful young people in classrooms to help faculty and students have a successful semester start this FALL 2008.
Do you need to volunteer a lot of your time? NO! During Weeks 1 and 2, CONCIERGE volunteers enter assigned classrooms 10 minutes before class begins. On MWF, you enter classrooms at 0830A-0840A, again at 0930A-0940A, etc. On TR, you enter at 0830A-0840A, 1000A-1010A, etc. If a volunteer chose to work MTWRF for every timeslot, it would require about 6 hours per week of your time.
Do you need to be "on call" for the entire semester? NO! Our focus is "10 CONCIERGE minutes per hour" on Mon-Fri, 0800A-0500P only during Weeks 1 and 2. When you're done with your "10 CONCIERGE minutes", you're free to resume your typical schedule until your next scheduled timeslot.
Do you need a lot of complex training? NO! We suggest completing 2 CONCIERGE MEETUPS of 1 hour each. Each meetup will be held in a Speakman Hall "ALTER" classroom. We have reserved SPEAKMAN 212 for pre-semester training meetups, and SPEAKMAN 115 for meetups during the semester for volunteers who join at the last minute. Plus, each CONCIERGE gets mobile training modules you carry into classrooms to assist you.
