Comments:
Let me tell you a little bit about this company even though there is not much to it. Money Economics is just a shitty web site and forum that tries to gain money from Google AdWords. Try looking them up on Alexa and see how popular they are. Yea, you get the point, they are not making much money through ads. How do they attract users? They have unpaid interns work for them and write articles about the economy. How good can this get? Why would you choose this site over finance.google.com or MSN Money? Another traffic attractor is their shitty calculators which you can pretty much find anywhere.
The person in charge, Mark Liu, asks to meet with you every week to get an update on how things are going. He meets with other unpaid interns also during this time and never bothers to introduce you with the other interns. You do not have an office, you work from home and you work for free.
You most likely won't get anything from interning for this company. Anything that you will do for this company you can do it on your won during summer. You won't learn how to work as a team, you won't learn any real-life experience, and you won't get paid. Don't apply.
