Daily Responsibilities
-Door-to-door cold calling will compose roughly 50% of your work until you start production. This is something they will not tell you.
-You are expected to go home every weekend to gather leads and conduct estimates.
-Estimates are set on the phone during the week
-Hire painters and marketers
-Manage job sites
Positives
-Great real world experience
-Learn how to sell
-Learn how to present yourself professionally
-Learn how to manage others
*If it seems to good to be true, it probably is*
Downsides
-You do not run a crew of painters if you do not reach 25,000 in sales
-You are told the average intern makes about $10,000. In reality you will most likely break about even if you finish the program
-Miss all the weekends at school
-The company takes out a lot of small fees that add up to be a great deal
-For those who finish the program, they pay for their training and the training of the interns who quit. It comes out of your jobs.
-Stuck with about $2000 worth of equipment

Tips for getting accepted to internship: Sell yourself well. Stretching the truth about your accomplishment is a plus. They basically want to see how well you can sell yourself because the whole internship is based on selling.
